Unspoken Talent: Kayla Johnson #22
#1
Kayla Johnson of Pikecentral will surpise us all.
If you were there when Central took on Allen Central than you will know what im talking about. She is also a shooter. Just give her a couple a more games before she becomes a serious threat. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw her in the starting lineup for Central and hear her name alot more. Keep up the good work Kayla and keep trying harder .       Does anyone else have any unspoken talent out there?

I agree with you. My daughters played with Kayla Johnson at Dorton. She is one of those players that don't get alot of talk about, but shes a good player. She can shoot, plays good defense, and has a great attitude. If given a good chance, she'll surprise a lot of people. Go Kayla

Kayla J has a nice shot and has the potential. She seems to be coming into her own with each game of the season. She'll be a solid player once she gets the confidence she needs out on the court.

watched her play last night, very impressed with her

KJ is a good player she just needs to learn how to play at the high school level a little more and then she will be a HUGE threat to any team this will come with more experience...Her ball hadleing skills have really impressed me but she needs to work on looking up when she is in a speed dribble...Defensivley she just needs to learn how to switch off of picks and to switch when she is miss matched while away from the ball...A great young player a little work and she will be another "star".

Oh and another unspoke talent is Hannah Thompson and Holly Harris

Johnson had 3 against East Ridge so I don't really recall how she was on the court that night. Hannah Thompson had 2 so she really didn't stick out in my mind that game either.

Holly Harris however had a great game against ER and put up 18 points. I remember her because she is small and looks to be very young but she had alot of talent. She made it to the front page of the sports section that game too if I am not mistaken.

Holly will definetly grow and mature as a player and be a huge addition to the Hawks. When she gets to be 17 or 18 years old then she will be leading the team, IMO. She started out like Michelle Webb from ER did, Webb was a baller back at Feds Creek when she played Jr. High basketball. She had talent from every aspect. Great ball handler, drove the paint, could play center, make a great percentage of her shots from anywhere on the court...I don't see Harris having the size to do that but playing 1 or 2 positions, she should be a powerhouse in time.

Personally I think that Kayla is a good player when it comes to certain things she can throw down the threes but her defense isnt there.
