Greenup hasnt beaten a good team yet under "GOD" Copley. No reason to think that streak will stop Friday night. IF he comes back next year Copley must get a handle on the boys extra activities off the field. A lack of discipline off the field leads to no discipline on the field!

Knox will roll in this one. They'll be able to rest many players for the next playoff game. Knox 49-0.
BTW, our district (me being a Bell fan) will be 3-1 in the first round.

Knox by 3TDs.
I hear the boys from Greenup are mighty "fiesty". It will be important for our crew to expect that and not get drawn into any sort of drama that could bench one for what will be a tough game against Rowan if we are indeed able to get a win against Greenup.
This team is reported to be big and stong and likes to run the ball. Which works out great since we are big and strong and like to stop the run...

I appreciate your showing of respect for an opponent you will be facing. That's very noble. But, it's not going to be a game at all. Knox will have it well in hand by mid 2nd qtr. Not a contest this Friday night.
You're right though, no matter what, the boys need their heads in the game and be smart throughout. Hope to see you guys in week 3 of playoffs.

WOW...... I take it you don't like the coach?:eyeroll::biggrin:
Anyhow...I'm pulling for the Panthers, but, good luck to both teams.

Greenup County can beat Knox. BUT they will have to play mistake free football. Something they have struggled with this year. They should be able to move the ball with their great offensive line and backs Corey Lyle and Marsh. Once again Defense will be key. This is where Greenup has struggled all year. Hopefully they will come out ready to play and stop Knox in its tracks.

What in the world makes you think that? They are 5-5 with no quality wins that I am aware of. 5-5 is, at best, average, against an average schedule IMO. Having a "great offensive line" and "backs Corey Lyle and Marsh" has not translated this year. GC is an average football team, whose season will end next Friday night. Sorry...

Sorry...Well then GC don't even have to show up, cause you already have the game won on Monday. GC has not played the way they are capable of playing all year long, if the stupid penalties and mistakes are down, you will be in a dogfight, a stupid mistake cost us the Rowan County game, and we got beat on a 46 yd. field goal with 5 seconds to play, there toughest game of the year, the line will wear you all down eventually, and nobody has stopped Lyle from him getting his yards this season, they will play with a chip on their shoulder, as they want a rematch with Rowan County, next season, may be in 2 weeks. Lyle is ranked 2nd in the state in rushing, in all class's period.

All I know is he will need to "get his yards" Friday against a tough run defense. I had heard GC is tough. And having seen RC play LC - I know GC must have something to play RC that close.
Travel safe, dress warm, and come hungry. Our concession sells some fine home cooking.

Not a contest this Friday night.I love this game way too much for trash talking. GC is one of those teams that seems to have multiple personalities. They nearly beat RC (who is 9-1) and yet LC destroys them only to have Rowan beat the dust off LC. Hard to say who will show up for Greenup. \

But, we will be ready. Can't wait.

Well hes had well over 200 touches, i don't think he even broke over 100 against Lawrence County, so is that a team that stopped him from getting his yards? He is a great player, however, not taking anything away from him. Although i don't understand where your coming from about their O line? They will wear Knox down? This is the same team that played very well against Bell until after Half time.
Knox takes this one no problem, Greenup Co. is not as special as GC fans think. They will stop Lyle, and they won't be worn down.

Just remember Knox has the 2nd best Defense in 4A.

knox will name the score... 42-7

I believe turnovers and stupid penalties will doom GC in this one. Yes LYLE may get his yards but he is also prone to fumbling the ball. If GC cuts down on the stupid pentalties they make a ballgame out of it, if not say hello to the roundball.
