And as far as the 3A schedule vs 5A schedule? Are you trying to tell me that Pulaski's District is all that tough? They have only played 2 good 5A teams this season. Here are the 5A teams they have faced: South Laurel 0-10, Barren County 2-8,Mercer County 3-7, Lincoln County 4-6, Southwestern 6-4 and Harlan County 8-2. That schedule isn't exactly murderer's row.

Eastham is a great quarterback and he's probably got the build to be more of a prospect at the next level but strictly talking about high school the two are closer than you think.

All I'm saying is that he goes up against better competition, which he does playing on a 5A team. You can't base a single player's status on a TEAMS overall record! IMO, like I have said before I think Eastham is hands down the BEST Quarterback in the Mountains but that is my opinion obviously not yours.

Eastham is a great player on a good team. Manning is a good player on a great team.

Neither are what I would consider exceptional, though. If either of them play college ball next season, it will be in the Mid-South Conference (yawn).

Is he getting any looks from any colleges? If so who?

Guess I shouldn't critique others without posting my own nominee.

The best QB I've seen in the mountains this season is Adam Wing from Rowan County.

Without a doubt the best i have seen is Alan Boggs. Big strong arm, he can make every throw. Big kid willing to stand in the pocket and he runs a little better than most would think. It showed it the p-burg game that when he decides to run hes a very powerful kid as they could not hardley tackle him.

He's been looking like Newton recently!

Wing is a great athlete and leader for Rowan.
I seen him take control of his team with great fashion as well as control the pace of games.

No doubt Eastham is good,Kid from Bell is good but what i have seen is Boggs at Pike Central and Huff At Perry Central just think both these kids didnt get very much playing time at QB last season,Huff (being in 5-A makes it tough and is doing well in passing and TD percentages)has less than Boggs so taking ever thing about this game and numbers Boggs and Huff would open anyones eye if they know football, with that being said Kid From Bell has my Vote,he is a good defensive guy also and thats where he just might play at next level!!Not all QB's actually play that at next level cause they are usually best athlete on teams and can play many more positions when push come to shove good luck too all these young players they are our athletes to watch!!!

There are several very good quarterbacks in the mountains. Huff, Boggs, Eastham, Manning, and others. Stats are deceiving with all these QBs. Some teams leave their QB in the game as long as possible to run up stats, some get their kids out early and call off the dogs.
We are in for a treat this Friday at Pulaski County as PC hosts Huff and Perry Central. Without a doubt, it will be the best QB match-up in the mountains. This week's game will decide whom is better between those 2 anyway.

I have to give my vote to Jon Combs of Hazard. He is currently the state passing leader with 105 completions in 138 attempts for 76% accuracy and 2391 yards and only 2 interceptions in 9 games. (The stats for our vicotry over Clay County last friday night have not yet been posted.) He is also not afraid to run for yardage if no one is open in the passiing lanes. He is a real quarterback with a level head and the ability to do what it takes to help secure a win.

I would have to go with Alan Boggs from Pike Central. He has an arm like a cannon and pretty much dead on target, and after the game against Prestonsburg, he has proved he can run the ball as well. Way to go Boggs!!!
#74
Doesn't he play for Perry or is it Breathitt?
#75
Alan Boggs
John Combs
Kyle Huff

Should be interesting to see how Huff performs against Pulaski's excellent pass defense!

Eastham by far, he is a solid duel threat QB 2156 passing yards, 30 pass TD, 830 rushing yards, 9 rushing TD
#78
I like the QB that can lead your team and win games.
#79
Combs is a good quarterback, but most of his yards come from his receivers. He throws a lot of screens that his receivers turn into long gains and touchdowns. With this type of passing game, he will not have very many interceptions either. What I am trying to say is, he is good, but his receivers are why he is so good.
