Johnson Central 43 Belfry 7
#1
Final Score.
#2
Congrats JC
#3
Did Belfry rest some starters after it started getting away from them? or did JC dominate against the #1s.
#4
nice win JC. I know JC fans will not admitt it, but they have to be excited that the 1st TD came on a pass. This will only make JC an even more dangerous team.

#10
Congrats JC!
I called this one right,

#11
Nice job Eagles, now lets hit the playoffs hard. Scott High School, here we come.
#12
HUGE win for the Eagles...I'm not sure if I ever remember the Pirates being physically dominated in such a fashion.
#13
Don't know what you should expect, two starting safeties are out, then our starting DT gets hurt, and a rotation of players ends up with a 2nd string linebacker, and Jeffree Pruitt has a shoulder problem and doesn't play defense for most of the night. Can't expect much when you're beat up like that.

EDIT: Tony Messer also got hurt early.
#14
I about wrecked when I turned on the radio and heard the score.
#15
Wow
#16
No excuses injuries are all part of it. Didn't really matter who Belfry had playing or not playing, JC was just better this year, they got a nice team.
#17
I was wrong with my prediction. Congrats to JC. They are playing great right now.
#18
Congrats to JC!!! Keep it up!!!

Yeah, but they're certainly not 43-7 better.

just watched some of the game on ihigh.com,really liked the big helmet JC had, and there was not alot of Belfry fans there for this one, 2 yrs ago that side was packed and had to stand, they really moved the ball the 1st two possessions and then everything went down hill from there...

Looks like Belfry may be on the road next week at Russell?
#22
Wow, I did not see this big of a spread

From the looks of things, Sheldon Clark wins the district based on total points after defeating Pikeville tonight. Belfry finishes second and Pike Central is third. So...

Sheldon Clark hosts Fleming County
Belfry hosts West Carter
PCC is on the road at Russell
East Ridge is on the road at Mason County

(I think this is correct but I could be wrong)
#24
That is dead on khsgamenight, this district finishes SC, Belfry Pike Central, East Ridge. No matter what Pike Central did, they couldn't finish higher than 3rd, and no matter what Belfry did, they couldn't finish 1st unless SC lost to Pikeville, which didn't happen.

Belfry Wins is correct, we need to make no excuses and take our beating. It didn't much matter who we trotted out there, Belfry was outmanned and were never going to be in a position to win this one. I was disappointed in the loss, as I would be with any loss, but I was even more discouraged by the fact that I thought our kids gave up in the 2nd half when the score got out of hand. I know it may be easier said than done, but you never quit, you play hard, give 110% until the final horn sounds and you never hang your head. I didn't see that from the Big Red tonight.

All in all, I'm glad this one is over and we need to get it out of our heads and move on. New season starts tomorrow.

Congrats JC
#26
WOW. I didn't see Belfry getting beat that bad.
#27
Shocked at the margin of victory. I really thought it would have been closer. Congrats JC, keep it rolling. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

Not sure when he started subbing completely BUT I do know that at the end of the 3rd quarter, there were two freshmen in that normally don't get varsity play time.... Warren went in as QB and another went in as safety.... This was at the end of the 3rd.... not 4th...

Why may I ask is this such a HUGE game for JC? It's not a district game, it didn't decide the fate of neither team, and JC is 5A and Belfry 3A.... This game has no bearing what so ever. Was it just a pride thing? Either which way, congrats JC on the win. Belfry just wasn't with it tonight!

Apparently it wasn't even being thought of as much of a game at all for Belfry fans. What happened to that legendary Belfry following? Looked like their stands were at max about 25% full. It may have been even less than that. Has this type of apathy been in the Belfry program all year?

Where is EKUalum05? Kind of unusual for him not to have either Update or postgame commentary?
