Magoffin Co. is muched improved from last year. But I think the speed and quickness of Prestonsburg will be to much. Although, it is always a dog fight when you play at Magoffin Co. no matter how bad there team is. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are bad by any means, I just think Prestonsburg will win in a close, physical game.

Yes magoffin county is very improved but i still dont think they can beat the blackcats. Cats-70 Hornets-64

it will be a nice physical game that i am looking forward to see. i would like to see magoffin to have a good season this year. but i know my blackcats will pull off this win! they're ready to prove to everyone that they are the team to beat.

Ive not seen Magoffin play yet but i heard they looked impressive against Betsy Layne and P-burg looked alright against Breathitt Co. So im going to go with Magoffin 68-56

I'm gonna take Magoffin in a NAIL BITTER! Not only have the Hornets improved this year but it's hard for any team to walk in Magoffin County's Gym and come out with a W... It's just the atmosphere or something I dont know...

Magoffin is a good team this year, however i believe that Prestonsburg will win this one. It should be close though, Magoffin ran BL to death, Prestonsburg is in very good shape and should be able to keep up with them. The game is at Magoffin; so, this game is basically a coin flip.

A lot of good comments on this thread. I agree with a lot of them.

Michael Stevens is a very talented point guard.

Presontsburg has some good shooters.

Magoffin County is always tough at home even when they're not a very good team. They're a good team this year. And that place can absolutely ROCK when the fans - especially those CRAZY STUDENTS get keyed up!!

I'm going with the Hornets. It could be close, but I expect them to win by maybe 10 points. Magoffin has played a very agressive half court man-to-man defense that has taken each team they've played so far out of their offense. Pure shooters have to be open to have a good game. P'burg will not get a lot of wide open shots. Another thing, the Hornets have found several ways to win so far. They've been sparked by different players in each of their games.

Im going to say the Hornets in this one baby! and not just because im a hornet fan either, I believe they have what it takes to get things done this year. Im proud of they way they are playing they've came a long way. But also prestonsburg is an excellent team, I believe they are gonna come ready as ever, every year they have talent deep into their benches. Also I know the feeling and the atmosphere that surrounds the court at magoffin, im there every home game I can go to, I'm a Bleacher Creature!!! Good luck to both teams
