It is hard to get teams to play you. I don't want to sound like LC fans but you got to take the schedule that you got.

K- N -O -X Rolls!!

Knox big. harlan is just not on the level of Knox, even when they are playing good.

I agree. thats 2 straight cake walks before playoffs. Which could be good, and could be bad. Hopefully good. But KC big.
#10
knox slays the dragoons, kc 55-harlum 7.jv in after half.
#11
This will be over when Harlan starts the buses in Harlan to make the trip.

KC-64

I am sure some other people would have played Knox, they choose to play Harlan Ind.

Coach Mills likely didn't know Madison Southern would be an easy game in Week 9 when he made the schedule. Nothing wrong with looking for a better matchup in Week 10 to get healthy before the playoff run. Otherwise, you would be like Harlan Co and Bell Co trying to decide whether to play 'banged up' players to have the best chance of winning or trying to rest some players for next week at a greater risk of loss in Week 10.

I honestly think Harlan would beat Madison Southern (lost to KC 67-0 last week, I think), so I will say KC 55, Harlan 14.

Are you serious? He knew exactly how bad Mad South would be. It is all about trying to get W's.
#15
Mad Sou is a district game. Coach Mills has no choice but to play them and MCC. But to say he did know how bad Mad Sou would be is a joke. They have been bad for quiet a while now.

I dont blame Knox for playing a cupcake game, I blame Harlan City for playing such a hard game. why not just play Harlan Co, better gate adn be a good rivaly. Yeah Knox does need to upgrade the schedule

AH....
I hear Harlan County is attempting to schedule UK for next year.

I don't want to call Harlan Ind. a cupcake, they are usually a competitive team although not up to the caliber of a KC. Coach Mills did intentionally schedule this sort of game not to insure a win but to better the chances of going into the playoffs with no injuries and on a high note. MCC and MSHS are just district games that have to be played. A much better district schedule would have been McCreary, followed by Rock, Madison Southern, then Bell. The "tuneup" game at the end would appear to make more sense with that schedule but you have to take the district games as they are.

R U serious, Harlan city lost to Lynn Camp this year. Competitive, I say hahahhahahahaha. Tuneup is right, but harlan may need a trip top the garage to get some repairs instead of a tuneup.

I think "usually competitive" would be a fair statement. Lynn Camp would be a bad loss (this year), and Harlan is rebuilding (this year), but I think it is a defensible game. Harlan did beat Coach Mills & Co. as recently as 2004 and was a regional finalist last year.

KC will win this one 55 to 0. Our JV is really doing well and have gained tons of experience, thanks to the varsity players. That will help us out big time next year. Go Panthers !!
#22
How good is the JV team for Knox. We play them next year in Dist
#23
KC, easy win...
#24
Should be similar to last years score!

Knox Central - 42

Harlan - 3

Who is we? The Jv team can hold its own. They Scored a couple of TD's on Madison Southern's varisty and held them to 0 points. They played the whole second Half. They also scored against other varsity teams and were never scored on. They have spent alot of time on the field this year playing against varisty players.

And killed them in a Grid/Scrimmage in 2006, something that apparently means something to some Confusedhh:

The Harlan Coach, asked Coach Mills to play 3 years ago, they are friends. Coach Donahue, told Coach Mills he had a team that could beat KNOX, that was last year,it did'nt work out for Harlan like they had hoped, but a two year contract brings them here friday...I'm sure this will be the last contest between the two for awhile...good luck PANTHERS

KC by a lot
#29
