Pretty much as expected. Lincoln is still young and a few years away. The JV for Pulaski played most of the 4th qtr.

Since when was it a bad thing that the pups score in a game like this? They worked all week just like everyone else. Regardless of the time, I am ok with the two teams playing to the end - especially after the starters are out. The question to ask here is, "If Coach Settles had the ball at the end of this game, is HE going to to run a play and try to score or is he going to take a knee and end the game?" I mean being down by that much one score wouldn't make a difference, so he should have taken a knee when he had it, but he tried to run a play and fumbled -His loss. Was Somerset supposed to tell their 2's (and 3's) to take it easy? No! That whole part of this story rubbed me the wrong way. It is not the job of the winning team to stop themselves.

I don't think Coach Hines had anything to apologize for. He had a freshman QB in the game with all the JV and freshman players. You have to get reps for those guys sometime. JV is just not the same as the action these kids are seeing on Fridays. Great job Maroons!
