I do not believe Middle School Football will help. There was a survey done and there would be alot less teams playing which would turn out to be less kids playing.

Why would there be less? It looks like this is to supplment the current Youth league, not replace it. NKY has both a Youth organization and Middle School football. Middle school football in NKY has only been in existence for the last 5 years. It works well together and has increased the number of players playing significantly.

JCPS has indeed started middle school football. They will have 13 teams this first year and all have joined the Kentucky Middle School Football Association.
Not to badmouth anyone, any program, any coaches, or any teams in particular, but there is definitely a significant difference between playing at the middle school level and playing youth league.
3/4ths of the teams who played in the KHSAA state finals (all 6 classes) have middle school football feeder programs that are members of the KMSFA. Proof-positive that our sport, at our level, is being improved by our state association.
The KMSFA has worked dilligently with Coach Vinegar and his staff at JCPS Athletics to help facilitate middle school football. This will be the first of many successful seasons, hopefully, for this conference.
