QB Ian Holbrook was the strongest player on Ashland's team this past season. When I can get a hold of someone who has his numbers I'll post them. I know his bench and squat were both well over 300 and 400 pounds respectively. Not too bad for the QB.

Yes Ian will be going on to college football. I know he has talked to numerous teams and from what I have heard has narrowed his choices to Eastern Kentucky University (strong connection from Ashland's Coach Hart who was the offensive coordinator there for around 20 years under Roy Kidd) or Centre College (where Ashland currenly has around 3 players and also a few other players from the Northeastern Kentucky.
I'm not sure if that is still accurate, but that was the last I'd heard about the future for Holbrook.

:insane:Thats unreal for a QB. I bet some of the NFL QBs are not that strong. Good for Ian working hard it the weight room. Looks like its paid off. Best of luck with college:worthy::wieghts:

Isn't there already a thread about this?
12-05-2005, 01:41 PM
yes
12-06-2005, 03:56 PM
i believe fot bench it would be a kid who throws up about 375 - 400 not sure on the name
12-08-2005, 10:49 PM
From Ashland I know a lot of people say Ian, but I think the true STRONGEST person is Michael Walters. If I'm not mistaken he got up 300+ on bench and over 500 on squat.
12-08-2005, 11:11 PM
Yes I do believe Walters is the actual strongest player on the team with those numbers but pound for pound I don't think there's anyone even close to Ian.
Walters - 315 lbs
Holbrook - 195 lbs
Walters - 315 lbs
Holbrook - 195 lbs

now that ians gone mike walters is the stongest i actually think he was stronger than ian in total weight i think his maxes add up to 1020 but then again he is a lineman and ians a QB
12-09-2005, 01:29 PM
Mike Thornsbury from SF
12-11-2005, 08:37 PM
Jerry Caudill for Leslie. Benches over 350 lbs. and squats over 500.
12-12-2005, 01:11 PM
Well i have to say on shelby valleys team next year it will be a close race between John Johnson and Tyler Cable. Both of these kids are strong in the weightroom! But I'm thinking Tyler Cable on the bench, John Johnson and Tyler Cable tied on the squat, and John Johnson on the power clean. But i haven't saw these kids in the weightroom this year

Sheldon clark hardly sees a weight room, so i couldnt tell ya..
the facility isnt fit to lift weights in. when u get on the benches, you'll probably catch ringworm or something
