Russell County will have had two weeks to practice against the Offense that Somerset runs after playing Campbellsville last week. Russell County held them to 6 points. Somerset and Campbellsville run basically the same Offense so the scout book should look familiar to the Lakers this week.

Somerset is coming off of a pretty good defensive game but have some things to clean up on offense. The Lakers jumped out early on the Jumpers last year and got a quick lead on them, hopefully the Jumpers can avoid that this year.

This one could be closer than expected. Somerset is coming of an emotional crosstown rivalry game win against Southwestern and has a showdown looming next week with the Danville Admirals. Russell County always seems to play well against Somerset and the visiting team has won the last 3 matchups in the series. I think Somerset wins this one but it is a little tougher than expected. Somerset lost several HUGE linemen off of their state runner-up team from last year. Both teams have some good skill position guys. There will be alot of speed on the field. Somerset is favored and rightly so, but they better watch out: Russell County could definitely pull off the upset!!
