BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Budweiser will be named the primary sponsor for Sprint Cup points leader Kevin Harvick beginning in 2011, a NASCAR source said Sunday.

Richard Childress Racing has scheduled a Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET news conference for a "major announcement regarding the 2011 season and beyond.''

Wow..I remember when Budweiser used to sponsor tough guys. Kasey Kahne wasnt what I would call a tough guy but compared to Harvick? LOL..Harvick's fighting ability (or lack thereof) makes Kasey Kahne look Brock Lesnar-nasty. Other than Matt Kenseth, Harvick is numero uno on the NASCAR pussies list.

Haha.. I would have to agree. The only positive is atleast we don't have to watch Kahne carry a Bud around and pretend to drink it. We all know he's not old enough to consume alcohol and if he was he'd be more of a Smirnoff guy. I'd love to know why guys like this end up with the cool sponsors. Harvick gets Budweiser and McMurray has Bass Pro.....

Ha, you are right..good point. Two of my alltime favorites were Harry Gant and Ward Burton. And at least they had cool sponsors. Gant with Skoal, and I couldnt imagine a more perfect fit for CAT than Ol Ward, lol..I wish Carl would have gotten the Bud sponsor..he'd be a good fit for it, but I might be a bit biased, lol..

Oh yeah.. Ward Burton was classic and I'd love to see Skoal get back into sponsorship. Carl would definitely make more sense, with Bud, than Harvick does. I've actually grown to like Carl more, since he's one of the few drivers that isn't afraid to wreck somebody.
