With all the talk of NBA free agents trying to position themselves to possibly play together, will this potentially create is significant degradation to the league?
As much as I like the idea of putting Lebron, Bosh, and D-Wade together onto one team, what does that do for the parity in the league that makes it fun to watch. If this trend is possible beginning, will we possibly be creating a monopoly on the playoffs which makes the regular season even less interesting. Let's face it, not many people watch the NBA during the regular season. I'll watch the Cavaliers play the Heat because Lebron and D-Wade are playing against each other. I'm not really sure I want to see a few great teams and a bunch of terrible teams. I want to see the Superstars compete against each other, not all of them with each other. Leave the Dream Teams to the Olympics.
It seems like the Yankees have been hated for years because the "BUY" championships. Is it really going to be fun to watch a team of Super Stars dominate the NBA championship? I'm sure you support it if they all play on your favorite team, but what if your team has to compete against this team every year and continually get bumped because you cant afford to compete?

If this does happen. It will be extremely bad for the league. Squaring these 3 up on one team takes away season ticket holders from the cavs and the raptors. And you could possibly see a trend, With people like Kobe, Howard, and Chris paul Hooking up.

Two of these teams are already formed.. LA and Boston.. I want to see LA crumble myself.. Im sick of hearing about Kobe being MVP, him shooting 5-20ish in the finals... and them getting the championship on a hot plate.. I want a team to dominate them next year in every aspect of the game.. A new team -- super team is exactly what the league needs.. Keeps and draws in more NBA fans at the same time.. We all know LA is good, they have had their time, and IMO it's time for a new team to surpass what they are doing with their own "dream team".

If Orlando could get rid of Rashard Lewis, they could do some bending for one of these All-Stars that are coming out.. With big useless contracts like his, Magic is dead in the water in the discussion of getting new players. And I definitley don't want to see them have to go against the super team that is created in 2010-2011 season play.. Specially if its the Heat, because they are in the East and Orlando would be playing them either in conference finals, or before conference finals.

Hearing Rumors that iverson is making a come back? I bet it was some exciting days watching him dominate the league for a few years.

Agree 100%.
What does it prove if Lebron does put this awesome team together and win one? Nothing. Heck you could put me on a team with Lebron, Wade, and Bosh and we'd win one. Sure, Kobe has Gasol, but is he on the same level as Bosh or Amare? It's debatable. I think Lebron and Wade have to big of egos to be on the same team anyway.

Championships are championships.
Kobe Had Shaq, Now Gasol. And Gasol Is On That Level.

If Boozer and Amare both ended up in Miami with Wade, that'd be a nice team.

To my understanding, there's a small chance of this happening. Even if Miami got LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh, it would be hard for the Miami Heat to get a good bench since most of the money would be gone. I think ESPN said they would have 11 million dollars left to get another starter and a good bench, which I don't think can possibly happen.
About whether or not there should be a dream team, I personally wouldn't like it. I like to watch superstars play against each other, not along with each other. If you want to watch superstars play on the same team, it's probably best if you just watch the NBA All-Star game.

I wouldnt like seeing a ton of huge stars like Lebron, Wade and Bosh on a team. A duo perhaps, because then most teams in the NBA could afford and all-star duo that puts them as contenders and makes it fun to watch. But just creat an all-star team to play everyone else? People would quit watching the NBA.
BTW how come no-one is mentioning the possible free agent of Nowitzki? He could change a team anywhere he went.

Sounds like the only people that don't want to see this happen is the Lakers fans.. afraid that Kobe will get knocked off.

:lmao: I have no worries. Lakers always keep up, wade, bosh, lebron, boozer, johnson all end up on a team....LA would find a way to get Chris Paul and D. Howard, then send them home in the finals. No worries in Laker nation. Lebron needs all those guys so someone can take over when he chokes

Not at all. Let Lebron build his dream team, he'll choke when it counts.

Wade and Bron have to big of egos to be on the same team. I still think Lebron stays in Cleveland.

You and Aslan can keep dreaming of all stars going to the Lakers.. They just signed Steve Blake.. STEVE BLAKE... nuff' said.

The Lakers are going after Chris Bosh also.
The deal is Bosh re-signs with the Raptors and the Lakers trade Bynum & Odom for Bosh.
It's possible, but I'd say Bosh will wait and see what Lebron does.

Who cares, the Lakers just went back to back, and more than likely will 3 peat. If we get Bosh, you might as well go ahead and give Kobe #6.
