Just last week South Laurel's Emily Gaines was announced as the 2010 Kentucky Gatorade player of the year in softball.
Now she adds another trophy to her awards case. It has been announced that Gaines is Miss Softball for the 2010 season. Gaines finishes here career the state's all time leader in hit and doubles, and is the single season record holder for hit and doubles. Not to mention she also has the state record for most consecutive games with a hit with 52.
