Future MLB (AL) expansion?
#1
Hey was looking at the standings throughout the league after the Reds pulled into a 1 game lead in the central, and I noticed how the AL has 14 teams (with four in the west), and the NL has 16. Does anyone have any insight on a potential expansion or opinions on the possible cities that the MLB would look at. I was think to push the west to 5 teams they could have a MLB team in Las Vagas and maybe a AL east in Charlotte. What is everyone's take on this?

How about move a team to the American League. They moved the Brewers to the National League a few years ago. Why not move someone to the AL instead of watering baseball down with two more teams.

move Houston to the rangers division and it makes each division equal.

If anybody got a major league baseball team, how cool would it be to look at the paper and see Brooklyn? I know they have the Yankees and Mets, but Id love to see Brooklyn get another team. JMO though..

None of these cities have MLB teams.

Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Norfolk, Indianapolis, Orlando, Columbus, Charlotte, Las Vegas, not to mention that Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina nor Virginia have a MLB team! WOW! You think they could add one more, lol.

The question has always been, "Can a place like KY or Arkansas support a pro team?" For places like Virginia, I have NO IDEA why they do not have a team. They have several big cities and big Universities (aka, college kids looking for something to do) why don't they have one?

When was the last expansion? 1999? 2000?
