Well maybe if middlesboro beat Bell Co, it would keep their players from leaving and playing elsewhere..

This is a little off topic, but the other day when i drove over to middlesboro i noticed something.
The sign heading into middlesboro with the city's population read....Middlesboughro or middlesborough or something like that.
I know the school and everybody else spells it like Middlesboro , but i was wondering how this came about, i obviously don't think it was a misspelling of the sign, but did it use to be spelled like that or something?

Use to be spelled that way. It was named after Middlesborough, England.

I know! We are excited! The teams that their coaches wanted to run from us. Now Jewell has to play us with no choice. Middlesboro has a Bell ex-coach Frazier. We knew it was coming.
Next year will be exciting with some new rivals coming back on board. Hopefully we keep Knox Central on the schedule. I know Harlan Co is back on for next year as well.
Hopefully in 2011 we will have rivals of:
Knox Central
Corbin
Middlesboro
Harlan Co

Dont forget that you will still have Whitley as well, that's a great non district schedule for Bell with close games and good atmospheres.

It should be played, i haven't heard otherwise and its a close game that doesn't cost a lot to get to, id say you'll definitely see these two playing for a long time.

Absolutly great ... :Cheerlead
Now if they would schedule Pineville
NO don't even think it - Don't want no Bell / Pineville game. nope, don't want one , don't need one , wont buy one ... no, no way stop ...
Yes I remember when all four played one another (Lone Jack too), we'd get our win's here and there just enough to keep it interesting. Was nice rivalry among them all. Great games back then. But still Pineville doesn't need the thrashings Bell would dish out. So just Middlesboro / Pineville.
Be great for us both with the travel costs of a 12 mile road game, fans easier to attend and more likely to, Course being 1A vs 2A isnt that big a gap, and Pineville will again get its occassional win, and the rivalry will be renewed

If we can get Corbin on a regular home and home we would be happy. Corbin program has went down hill the past 5 years.

It's good to have so many rivalries on a schedule, gets players more ready to play!

I'd like for Bell to bring back the Coca Cola Classic like it had back in the day. That would be cool.

As a fan I would like to see Frazier and Hilton work together on there schedule make it to where at least one team is home every week and when both teams are playing at home on the same week have one of em play a Saturday game (day or night) , IMHO both teams would draw bigger home crowds.

Middlesboro is going to have a monster schedule next season that is for sure.

The person I got my info from yesterday said Middlesboro tried to schedule Pineville for next year but they refused too.
