That is a toad smallie. Hope he released it and had a replica made. Those fish have the genes and make other big fish. In texas the share lunker program is having huge sucess. Remember get the weight, length, girth and pounds and take 4-5 good pics. Release the fish and send your results into bass pro shops and they will make a replica for you that looks the same as a real mount, last longer and is more durable. They are cheaper too if im not mistaken.

9 lb. Small Mouth
#15
6 lbs. out of a farm pond

If...Then Wrote:9 lb. Small Mouth

U got a pic of that 9lb Smallie? Where did that monster come out of?

5 pound, 5 ounce Smallmouth out of Cherokee Lake.

I have caught countless Smallmouth and Largemouth out of Cherokee Lake and Norris Lake around the 4-5 lb. mark. As many years as I have been fishing, I have still yet to hook that whopper I've been looking for.

A lot of people tell me that, i just say that cause I can't never seem to be able to reel in the big one. But, that's not my reasoning for saying that at all.Confusedhh:

Cool! It seems that when i really need it is absent. Thanks for releasing that fish, atleast im assuming you did. Sometimes when i leave the ramp at grey light i am glad that its not on the boat. Kinda superstitious that way. Out here its a huge deal not to bring bannanna's as well.

Biggest bass I ever caught was at 6 am right before we packed it up to leave from night fishing. Not sure how much it weighed but it was about 16 inches long and looked pregnant.

I seem to be the one who always catches the bass between 9-12 inches.

That's the thing. I do not know why the west coast anglers are freaked over the nanner's. I just know they got me freaked about it now. A couple times when i was new here i would pull a nanner out and they r like tripping and make you throw it over board. Once i get the scoop ill holler at you.

Caught me a 10 pounder about 2 years ago in Greenup, ky at a buddies pond.
#27

It was late June I am thinking 1994 or 95. Caught it on an 8 inch purple plastic worm. I also caught a couple more that same year over 7 lbs. I have caught several more nice ones up there since that time, but nothing over 5 and half lbs.
