Armando Gallaraga receives new Corvette and Joyce emotional before Tigers game

Gallaraga received a new Corvette the day after a blown call cost him a perfect game, while Jim Joyce worked home plate. Joyce was tearful when Gallaraga brought him the lineup card and shook his hand, and Joyce, still emotional gave the pitcher a thankful pat on the arm. All class. Kudos to Armando Gallaraga, Jim Joyce and all involved.

Well if they where going to give him a Corvette, it should have been a ZR1. Smile

Anyhow, I think this was handled perfectly by Galarraga and the ump, Joyce.
