14th Region Coaches: Going Or Staying?

He (Coach Noble)is not going anywhere, the board members know his son is going to be one of the best basketball and football players to come out of the mountains in a long time. I think that is why Letcher was hoping they could "conveniently" leave Breathitt and be hired as an assistant in football and basketball their.

Hall may go to Estill, but Tiller will not be coaching in the near future, maybe after some time off, but not in the next couple of years.

I can see Hatcher leaving Perry with all the talent they have leaving, but a new coach would have a great class coming in.

Fraley will probably leave, and have heard Coach Holland is interested in the job at Knott along with additional funds from the new sportsplex they have their as well.

To TheMasterpiece and bobcatbball: My comments on Noble were in reference to his building of a competitive basketball program at a football school. I was not referencing current achievement but simply referring to past success and the potential for future success. Thus, you both have good points and it seems like Nobleâs best years may be behind him. This brings to question why Estill would desire Noble or a member of his staff. If Breathitt is currently having so much difficulty, then there would be no reason for Estill to hire Noble or his assistants. If they canât win at Breathitt, a school with comparable population and district opponents to Estill, then it is doubtful they could win in Irvine. No disrespect intended for anyone.

Is Matt Day @ Hazard or is this just a rumor still. I can't believe he would leave Coach Noble and his friends at Buckhorn to go play at Hazard. Coach Noble has done a lot for the people of Buckhorn he took them from a laughing stock of the region to a Top 5 team year in year out. I would just like to know if this was true or not.

he is still at Buckhorn and isn't going to hazard. its already been confirmed that he's staying At Buckhorn

Hatcher will leave. He was going to pike last year for the money an to be closer to home but the conviced him with the transfer of Martin that they were a lock to win Region but that didn't happen an they got beat by hazard in the district. Don't look for him to stay with no talented players return for him the first good job he can get he will take it an be gone. John Paul done let Bert go an that was Hatchers BFF so look for Hatcher to do the same to get closer to home to his mom an brothers. He will not be back that is a fact

He has done the same in all the place's he's been before so why wouldn't he here Perry's nothin to him. Half the players an ppl here hate the man he has nothin here to stay for hhe's a great coach an everything but he wont stay. I mean he's already quit playing hazard an he's doing the same to Buckhorn an Knott next year cause even if he stays by some mircale one lose to them an hes doen at Perry he's done lost too much to them to stay at Perry an still be welcome he hasnt won a region yet. An you cant go like that at Perry with the ppl above him they will fire him an be done with it. So rlly dont look for him to stay.

MINE - You tj10 the coaches voted for Doug to make fun of him and the Breathitt program. Colleagues as you say, all his colleagues know he is a joke. Dont take my word for it get a neutral person to ask some of the coaches or all of them in this region what they think about your coach and you will see for yourself. Also Jade one of the most talented players to come out of this region in a long time is going on to college without Nobles help.

Sounds to me you are just jealous or you have a grudge against the man. Like I have said before if you don't like how he coaches you need to go and get an application and apply for the job... I don't know why you throwed Jade's name in your comment??? I have never said anything about Jade. He is a good athlete. I wish him the best . Now go and apply for the job.:rockon:

I heard that Hall and Honeycutt are two of the favorites that Estill are trying to get. IMO, Estill better not get Hall. He cant stay at one school. He is always leaving when everything gets tough.

I give it a week or two. They need to make the right decision. But yet, they could hire one tomorrow. You never know.

I don't think Happy has any interest in coaching high school again. And when I watched grade school games he may at times have held his son down in scoring not to show favortism. But on other hand 8th grade was loaded with talent and didn't need anybody to do a whole lot of scoring. Josh Hollan is probably best of group but others will be very good in high school too. Hazard beat Perry Central in district and almost Knott Central in region. I don't think Holland is going anywhere.
..I am interested in Perry Central coaching with various things I've heard.

Hatcher is done. I go to school at Perry an I just finshed the season with him an the man is leaving he was going too last year but they beged him to stay the money pike was offering him was to good but he did pass it up for one more shot at going to rupp. An he didn't get too he's done Here the bigshots here are going to do him like Al an push him out the door he wants to leave anyways he wants closer to home an not one single player *** coach or person can say they honestly like the man so what does he have to stay for? Nothin. Hatcher is out an besides how long do u think John Paul with let his son sit as an *** coach? He is working on a degree righ now so his daddy can move him into a good job at the board or Perry before he retires an with hatcher leaving this year they will get a one or maybe two year coach then your new head coach at Perry will be Robert Paul Amis an if by some mircale hatcher stays it will be as a favor to John Paul fo him too groom Robert Paul as a coach. But the furture coach is Robert Paul as for next year don't look for hatcher to be here. I look for a one or two year coach yo be here then Robert Paul will be giving the job before his dad retires.
