No. 1 Trinity Ends Regular Season With 23rd Straight Win
Rocks Roll Past DeSales in Regular Season Finale
LOUISVILLE, Ky. â Leading Mr. Basketball candidate Josh Sewell scored 25 points and senior Taylor Epley added 14 points and 10 rebounds as No. 1 Trinity rolled past DeSales 61-48.
Trinity finished the regular season with a 25-2 record, winning its final 23 regular season games. The team also finished the regular season with a perfect 20-0 mark when playing away from home.
The Shamrocks used an early 12-2 run in the first quarter to take an early 16-6 lead and cruised to the win.
Sewell surpassed the 1,400 point mark for his career in the first half. Earlier this season, he became the programâs all-time leading scorer, surpassing Lee Morrison at 1,317 on Feb. 2, 2010.
Trinity begins postseason action on Wed. Feb. 24, 2010 when the Shamrocks face Seneca in the first round of the 27th District Tournament at Ballard. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
