Trinity Ranked No. 1 in Final AP Poll
Shamrocks Earn Highest Finals Ranking in Program History

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Trinity has finished the regular season with a number one ranking in the state of Kentucky in the final Associated Press poll of the season released today by the outlet.

Trinity received each of the ten first place votes that were cast in the poll.

Trinity was ranked at the top of the poll in each of the five weeks it was released during the 2009-2010 season and were a unanimous number one selection in three of the five weeks of the poll.

The final poll of the 2009-2010 season marks the highest finish in program history for the Shamrocks and the 11th week holding the number one ranking by the outlet in program history.

Shamrocks Ranked Nationally: Trinity is ranked nationally in several polls. Trinity has received recognition in several polls across the nation since the calendar year turned to 2010.

TRINITY IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
• USA Today Super 25 Rankings: Trinity is ranked 9th in the South Region, the highest ranking in program history. It is the fourth week in program history that Trinity has been ranked in the poll.
• PrepNation.com: Trinity ranked 5th in the Midwest Region, the highest ranking in program history by the outlet. The Shamrocks moved up one spot after being ranked 6th in the region a week ago.

Sewell Closing in on New Milestones: When the Shamrocks return to the court, Josh Sewell could reach a couple of new milestones. Sewell needs just
one point to tie Tanner Jacobs for the most points in a single season during the Mike Szabo era. Sewell currently has 492 points on the season. Jacobs registered 493 points during the 2006-2007 season. Sewell could also reach the 1,400 point mark. He currently stands at 1,382 points.

Epley, Sewell Reach 300-Point Mark Again: Seniors Taylor Epley and Josh Sewell have each reached the 300-point plateau in each of the last two seasons, becoming the third and fourth players during the Mike Szabo era to reach 300-points in consecutive seasons. Tanner Jacobs achieved the feat in 2006-2007 and 2005-2006 while Kyle Saxton reached the feat in 2004-2005 and 2003-2004. It is the first time in the Szabo era that two players have achieved the feat together in consecutive seasons.
