I'd have to put LC's Taylor Porter in the conversation. She's a good defender, can shoot the ball, and has tons of speed!

I would have to agree Taylor Porter from Lawrence County is one of the top freshman in the region. She can take care of the ball, shoot form any where on the floor and is a team play. In two more years she will be the kid everyone wants to watch. She is just an all around great kid with a good attitude. :Cheerlead

TJ Tackett from Betsy Layne has been getting vaarsity time since she was in grade school, sixth grade I think. She's definitely one of the best. Paige Watkins also has a lot of talent when she has her head on straight.

Having watched most of the teams in the 15th region I really don't see how Katelyn Newsome of Sheldon Clark is the top freshman in the region. She's averaging close to 13 points a game and shooting close to 50 percent from the floor. I think you would have to throw Kandace Porter from SC on that list as well.
