Belfry vs Russell 2006
#1
At the CAM, right in the heart of Pond Creek Nation. The 2006 State Semi-Finals, lets see how its gonna match up.

BTW.......I mean no disrespect to the Middlesboro's, Corbin's, Sheldon Clark's, or anyone else in AA, for that matter. I just want to see how the teams stack up if this were indeed to happen again.

Well for starters our tackles should be bigger. We've got a couple of young boys over 6' and 300lbs or above. That will be odd for us. Because as you know the line this year was small but fast to the ball. Clark will be back next year. Tyler Jones may step in at QB although I would hate to see that. He's a fine RB as well. I'll post more as I think of it.

I know that both teams will have atleast one loss to Ashland by the time they get there. j/k

But in all seriousness, both teams should be absolutely reloaded next season and ready for another region and state championship run through AA.

This will be another great game that we will be talking about for years like the other Belfry / Russell games! Both teams have a great deal of history and heart on the line each and every game! Iam ready now, but I guess we will have to wait another year!

The only schedule change i know of next year is Ashland, so yes Lawrence Co should stay

Both of these teams should be reloaded and extremely talented next year, hopefully we will see a rematch between these teams once again in the state semis.

For Russell, the addition of St. X freshman lineman Seth Harvey (6'5, 310 lbs.) should help their line out. He anchored the O-line on the freshman team as they posted an undefeated season. Also, the addition of Columbus freshman QB A.J. Cordle should help. His 40 time was either 4.6 or 4.7 (I'm not sure exactly), so he is very fast. Both of these players used to live in the Russell area and have decided to come back, and I'm sure coach McGlone is happy to have these guys back!
