Coach McCoy does a great job with his players. M.C. will be fine!

He is the most successful head football coach in Magoffin Co. football history!
The future holds much more promise, as long as the administration supports his efforts.
God Bless MCHS!!!

I look for MCHS to have a record year. I think they could potentially win 8 or 9 regular season games. Coach McCoy has done tremendous job and I think they are returning 8 or 9 off both offense and defense.
Should be a great year to be a Hornet!
Good luck this year from the Golden Eagles.

Thanks JC, we appreciate the support. And they have several returning players, they're still going to have RB Jostan Helton, WR Casey Adams, QB Dylan Keeton, and FB Colby Howard. Not to 2 UNBELIEVABLE freshman that the have coming in...Caleb Hall, and Austin Whitaker. So it should be a promising year for the Hornets.

If they suppose to win 8 or 9 games, the way it looked at passing at Betsy Layne they didnt win one game vs a varsity team.

Best of luck to the hornets this year.

Didn't Betsy Layne beat Johnson Central in a passing league game at Shelby Valley this summer? Now based on that do you think that Betsy Layne would be within 50 points in a real game with pads? No I don't think so. You can't predict a team's upcoming season on how they done in the summer during the passing league games.

Your right about passing league. But I know you guys spreaded it a little bit last year therefore i thought they would have been better. The bobcats have just started passing. I think Magoffin has great coaches and didnt lose hardly any players just tells me they will be really good. Didnt mean for it to sound like that.

Magoffin County has a very easy schedule for them. Definatly not a tough schedule to get them ready for the playoffs.

Johnson Central is not gonna be a passing league team, Their Wishbone and 99% run. Beating J.C. in passing league is no big deal, Now beat them in season and you've done something. Passing league don't have to deal with their Belly.
No offense but they would bust the lights on the scoreboard in a real game vs. Betsy Layne.

I was just talking about how Magoffin spreaded the ball out last year. JC never spreads.
07-05-2009, 12:36 PM
That's all I'm saying as well. Does Magoffin run some spread?
07-05-2009, 01:59 PM
coach mccoy runs the spread but with a lot of runs and short passes to the flat from his two Qb dylan keeton and justin poe to his host of backs jostan helton, tyler holbrook, and colby howard

I will be pulling for the hornets all the way.
