Corbin's Watkins receives first offer

Corbin RB/OLB, Caleb Watkins received an offer from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC on Thursday, June 18th. This school has a great academic and athletic tradition and is a member of the NCAA Division 1-AA.

There got a good football team. They was rank #1 for most of the season last year after they beat App ST.

They were impressed with him on both sides of the ball and since they were looking for 2 RBs and 3 OLBs and because he was the first player they offered he could choose. He is not going to commit just yet since he is still on the "camp" circuit but he would probably like to run the ball for them. They have an awesome football program, a gorgeous campus, superior academics, and quite frankly it is going to be very hard to wait around and lose or to turn down a $40,000 per year ride scholarship.

Wow, that is a pretty great offer to go to a $40K school. Congrats

He will be a senior this fall. He will graduate in 2010.

Congrats from all in Colonel Country, it is great to see area players get that chance to make all of southeastern ky proud.
