1) Paintsville is a big strong football team that is not fundamentally sound. I don't say this as an offhand comment, but I've seen them play. Trust me, i know these things.
2) The massive fullback (Pugh) from what i can see is a hard runner and gains an advantage because of his size. I believe he lacks endurance to go "the distance".
3) The quarterback is no where near as mobile as Olinger who was completely stymied last week.
4) Paintsville will be running into the same problems nearly every other team that has faced lynn camp encountered. Who do you tee off on?
5) The team speed is unfathomable for lynn camp. They made hazard look like they were playing in slow motion.
Final Danger: Paintsville lacks the big time play ability that the teams that beat lynn camp had. To beat lynn camp you have win the turn over battle, and actaully GET the football. The camper's ball control offense can eat up the clock. Until chaffin or roskopf or reynolds break a massive run.
Look for a close game initially, but late the campers take it away, continuing the run of 4th quarter dominance.
BMR has the most discipline teams around, just ask anyone that knows anything about his basketball teams. I'm not saying the QB (PUGH) is as mobile as Olinger but running and throwing for a combined 550 yards has me convinced. (WARD) is the big towering fullback. Lynn Camp is a good ball club and I just hope Paintsville shows up to play Friday like I know they can just to keep it respectable.

Lynn Camp by 14 Chaffin will have a good game and all the other backs for LC

i had that part backwards, my roster was jotted down on a business card. My point still stands. Ward is a big strong kid and who runs and blocks hard. Every block he makes out of the backfield is spine-jarring. Ever one that connects. He loses a lot of control coming in on blocks like a scud missle. At least when he's blocking, the linebackers have a chance to shiv him. when he's running they have no choice but to hit him. The linebackers from LC aren't exactly the biggest in the mountains. The best analogy for this seems to be a Ford F-350 running over an escort.
Pugh's greatness, as demonstrated against evarts, is indeed braggable. Braggable, but not unexpected. The Tiger's victory over evarts is comprable to the LC win over williamsburg, in which lynn camp stopped trying to score outright. They pulled the entire starting team, with the exception of a couple sophmore lineman, who happen to be their own backups. If pugh, who is one of the better quarterbacks in the mountains, is able to put numbers like that up against a good lynn camp team, then i will be duly put in my place.
Historically, Lynn Camp is caused problems by power backs. Even this year, they have been able to stop speed. Ladelle Rider who was touted as one of the best speed backs in the state was subdued by the cats.
Here is the game plan i would employ against Lynn Camp.
1) Attack the young corners with quick outs and hitches, give the reciever a chance to make a play on the inexperienced players. Lynn Camp sits chaffin over the top to keep plays like this from going for touchdowns, but 10-15 yards a play is acceptable.
2) Spread the field and create one-on-one situations with the LC middle linebacker and ward. The size difference there is probably 80 pounds in ward's favor which ever LB starts.
3) Keep pressure off of Pugh. lynn camp causes good quarterbacks to make bad throws, and with the chaffin, reynolds(who tied an interception record as a sophmore) and roskopf in the secondary, one bad throw can quickly equate to a change of possession, or worse, a touchdown.
4) Defensively, basically hope for the best. The lynn camp running game is well reputed for a good reason. You have to honor the run everytime lynn camp shows it, which leads to chaffin lacerating you off of play action.
Lynn Camp will run counters to keep the defense honest. I play to stop chaffin NOW and play to run down reynolds.
5) Find a way to force LC to turn over the football.
I hope that wasn't too longwinded, tomorrow i'll post how lynn camp should approach this game with their outdated offense.

PHS is not fundamentally sound????
Massive FB is not Pugh, it's Ward.
Pugh will show you just how mobile he is Friday night.
Paintsville lacks big play ability???????
PHS has LIVED off the big play.

Without the other back in the mix, it puts a nix on making plays in space. If he does come back this week, then it will change lynn camps defensive strategy somewhat.

My opinion in this game is simple....LYNN CAMP!!!!!!! THEY CANT BE STOPPED BY ANY DEFENSE YET.....NOT EVEN SOMERSET.....and paintsville is the same as hazard, and somerset....they are afraid to get HIT....and lynn camp is the team that will put it on them...expecting a good game from reynolds chaffin scalf and roskopf in this performance.

If it is Hans Doderer, LC will not be too surprised, I think most is expecting him to play. Being a senior, I would think it would be hard to keep him off the field Friday Night.

The doctors haven't given him medical clearance as of 8:10 a.m. November 11, 2005 and we won't know if he is playing until he comes back from his Doctors appointment... I really hope he gets to play, but that is not what I am refering too...
