Fugate
#1
I have a friend who is a huge UT fan and he just said that Channing Fugate is the newest Vol according to some website he is a member on. I don't know if that is 100 percent accurate, but if it is What An Accomplishment!!! for this kid.

I am assuming the UT rivals site. It is a pay site. It has him on the front and some allusions to it, but no actual statement of it right now. At least not one that is free to view.

Don't know if it is premium article or not, if it is I apologize.

Fugate is a Vol.

First and foremost a big, well deserved congratulations to Channing!

I had my doubts that his speed would hinder his chances to get a major D-1 ride, but from all intensive purposes Fugate busted his tail in the offseason to improve his measurables. Always good to see a mountain boy move on, especially when it is to a BCS school.

so did he officially commit to UT?
#7
Good for him, stinks for UK.

Yes

Yeah, Channing is one heck of an athlete! I saw some people on here saying his speed would hamper him from getting a major school interested in him, but looks like thos people were wrong. I think UT is a pretty big school and having a coach that coached in the NFL coaching you isnt to bad either. Everyone here in Breathitt are very proud of Channing. The Big Horse will be in UT Orange!

Also, I will gladly say I hope Channing goes on to have a Hall of Fame career featuring All SEC and All America honors, plenty of bowl wins, and 4 straight losses to UK.

Everybody from the mountains are proud of him! Hope he has a healthy senior year! Congrats to him!

Also have a great senior season now that a big burdin is off your chest, also just go out and enjoy playing football and have a great senior year your gonna miss it one day. Good luck!

Congratulations! I'd say there are some sad faces in Kentucky right now- I know alot of people in the mountains were hoping he would be playing at Commonwealth next year. Hope UT is a great fit for him and wish him all the best in his senior year and his future as a Vol.
#17
Congrats Channing! Kinda hope this opens the door for more EKY players at major colleges.

I still can't believe UK wasn't interested in him. How could major DI schools offer and not UK? What do they (UT, Ill., UL, etc.) see in a prospect that UK can't? Congrats on the signing.
#19
yes I wish him the best. Congrats to Channing and his family.

Ask Alabama and Shaun Alexander.
