Congrats Paintsville.

The score isn't impressive, but a win is a win.

Not trying to say Paintsville didn't play the JV in the game, but from what I saw of the team they only had about 14-15 players there today. Did the JV have a game elsewhere because Tim Pelphrey was no where to be seen unless he was in the score's booth. Pretty good game by the Tigers. Jake done a good job on the mound striking out the side in the first and another 1-2-3 in the second. SC's pitcher had trouble with the curve all night from some of the spots he was hitting and his fastball looked like one someone would see in BP. Looked like he grabbed his arm a few times during the course of the game but was able to limit Paintsville to 3 runs for the early part of the game. I figured they would hit the ball much better today since this made their 3rd game in as many days, but they really didn't. Timmy Sublett knocked in the Tigers first run in the top of the second, bringing home Ethan Daniels. Been away from Paintsville for some time so it was hard to keep up with who was playing where. Congrats the the Tigers on the win, SC looked very young but will continue to improve as the season goes.

The Tigers didn't really look like they wanted to be there... They just went through the motions, but hey, if you can score 9 runs on a team by just showing up then that's cool too.
Don't see how a team can get pumped up after a huge win against LC then coming back the day after against a team that has zero discipline (SC). They have somewhat talent but no willpower to stay after practice or show up early to improve on anything.

The middle school was at JC playing. Lyons did not even hit today so he could rest. the score was 6-0 in the 5th. Coach Howard took all startes out but Cryrus to pitch the top of the 5th.
