Scott County 64 - Anderson County 49
#1
Game stat leaders were
Scott County-
Euton- 16 points
Jackson- 12 points, 8 steals (that's a bunch of steals)
Phares- 13 points

Anderson County-
Penny- 15 points, 17 (wow) rebounds
Jenkins- 14 points
Russell- 11 points

Anderson County battled Scott County hard. Anderson Co. forced the play to be played at a very slow, deleberate pace. AC outrebounded SC 44-37. SC forced AC into 21 turnovers while SC had 11 turnovers.

Would have loved to have seen CJ Penny play against the Cards. I'm very surprised that Anderson County out-rebounded the Cards.

Congrats Cardinals!

Who defended Penny? Was this game fairly close throughout, or did Scott run out to a lead and pretty much trade buckets the rest of the game?

It was fairly close throughout. The quarter scores were:

Anderson County Bearcats 11 8 18 12 49
Scott County Cardinals 11 14 19 20 64

Anderson County is better than most people think. They also gave J'town all they wanted. Anderson County and Covington Scott have played well in the 8th region.

Agreed.

Anderson County will get more credit in our next rankings, don't know about Scott High but coming away with 1st place in the tournament @ South Laurel was very impressive.

I agree that Anderson Co. has a good team... Was just curious as to how the game played out, and who defended Penny.

Scott County had several different players guarding Penny. They pretty much shut him down the first half but he played well the second half.
