#1
Final from Johnson Central.

Congrats to the Tomcats!! Nice start on the season with the exception of the SV loss.

I have had family playing in the 14th region for 6 years now and have missed very few games. With that said, thru out this entire tournament i have never witnessed such poor officiating. congratulations ashland. .

I am one that usually don't say to much about officiating, but here in the 16th it has become pretty good. We have some vets that have been calling for years, but they have added some new younger officials this year and some of them are good.

Well I can sympathize with you! The officiating is terrible in the 15th. We're used to it. I don't know what officials you witnessed but I can only imagine. However, Ashland is the better team between these two though, regardless of the officiating.

I would like to see a rematch with 14th region officials, or any that would call a fair and consistant game for that matter. I dont see what keeps them from having a riot every game they are so bad here. seriously.
#7
It wouldn't make much difference. I'd say the Tomcats would take 7 out of 10 with 14th Region officials if they were fair.
#8
i dont think so. looked to me like they had their hands full .
#9
Congrats Tomcats!

Not saying they didn't, but they still won. Ashland is down this year and JBS isn't what they were last year either.
#11
This was the 1st time watchin both teams and they both were really impressive, but how tall is the big guy from JBS.

Cause he was impressive because it was great watchin him dunk over people.
#12
Congrats Ashland

Stats?

Ashland was the better team in this one. How can anyone from JBS complain about the officiating when the Ashland coach got a T in the first quarter for nothing. If I am not mistaken the official that gave Coach Biggs his T was an Alice Lloyd graduate that played for the Stepps. Last year when the JC went to JBS for their game, that was one of the worst called games that I have seen anywhere and you people want to talk about the 15th region officials. That is a joke.

IMO, the officials need to take this job more seriously and perform at their peak. Their calls set the stage for the game. Respect from the fans is a most powerful reward.

good game, if brent hall didnt have stomach virus and was able to play more than a quarter.JBS by 15, they were up 12 early, then he couldnt play anymore! They also got down twenty and cut it 2, showed a lot of heart. Should be proud!

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal

He also called out of bounds three times on a jbs player under the goal that didnt even have the ball. I have never even heard of such bull crap. They would let them kill each other one minute and then call touch fouls the next. There was absolutley no consistancy to their calls. I dont know what the ashland coach got a T for but id say it would be a safe bet it wasnt because he thought the refs were doing such a great job. Its very hard for 5 players to beat 8. I was looking for the game mvps to come out and get their trophys at the end of the game but those guys in stripes just never showed up.

Very nice performance for Ashland. Nice win.

The officiating was horrible for this tournament...for all teams involved. They never lost control of the games...they just simply never had control from the beginning. It's sad..15th region has the worse officials. Sad

I noticed once in the Prestonsburg/Pikeville game that an offensive foul was called on Pburg and we had 9 fouls and they did not send the Pikeville player to the line to shoot the 1 & 1.

If it was a player control foul, they shouldn't have shot free throws.
