This is will be a good game to watch. Both teams like to hit, but picking a winner. I have no ideal. But is i have to pick a team, i would say P-burg. Just because it is at there field.

Middlesboro 27 - 21

Prestonsburg is a very hard place to get a win. If Mboro leaves with a victory they will roll into Corbin with a lot of momentum.
I take Pburg in a dog fight.

P-Burg should roll......@ home......but I have said that just about every week with this M-boro team. I do give them credit for better play, but their season ends in Prestonsburg friday.

going back to seth setsers injury this young man should have not been put back in the game. i think p-burg was up 35 to 0 when he got hurt.he is your stud running back take no chances.this was very bad judgement on the coach and the doctor no excuses for that.knott central had no chance from the start.

Again with criticizing the Prestonsburg staff ? Why not go all the way and make a third call for "coaching changes"... ??

Funny how you continue to throw jabs at the P-burg staff and now doctors but you do it behind a computer keyboard !

For the most part it was Seths fault, he wanted the stitches and to be put back out there. And he wasn't having it any other way. But, you would think that a certified doctor would know not to put stitches in someones leg that has mud all over it, in the middle of a locker room, and then going back out and playing in the mud. That just calls for an infection.
I talked to a family member this morning, and they said that they had found another pocket of infection in his leg.

I hope Seth will be alright, but this shouldn't hold him back one bit!

you have no idea what your talking about. i can assure you that the team doctor, Blake Burchett, has had plenty enough experience dealing with cuts and scrapes in his 30 year career. The cut was cleaned with alcohol, i watched it happen. Staff is a very unpredictable thing, and it can happen to anyone with any cut. Thankfully, its not mrsa.

Yeah, I also heard from a very reliable source that Seth's cut was cleaned out by team doctor Blake Burchett, before being sewed up.

How can you, the fan, solely lay that blame on Dr. Burchett? I mean personally if i had a gash on my leg, id prolly stitch it up too..

i heard Seth was still in the hospital last night.anyone can say what they want this was a stupid move on coach Derossett part.the coach should be running the team not the player.i do not think they can win this game without Seth.and it seems by losing Blake Meade has hurt them on defense.Seth has not practiced this week and may not practice today.
kysportsfan you are absolutely right in what you said.

If Prestonsburg tries to line up and run over Middlesboro I think they will lose anyway. They have GOT to get back to a more balanced attack. They are not big and physical enough up front in my opinion to just run over people. When you have 2 really good WR's like Prestonsburg has in Gearheart and Sword , I don't see why you wouldn't be throwing the ball around anyways.
And about Blake Meade, they have only lost depth...His selfish attitude however is not missed AT ALL.

I think that Middlesboro will just be too much for P-burg.

Good luck Prestonsburg. I have not seen M'boro play but I know they are well coached and will get after you on the defensive side of the ball.
11-19-2008, 04:37 PM
Should be a good game. Both have a chance.
11-19-2008, 05:46 PM
Rumors say Seth isnt going to play. If so, it could look rough for Prestonsburg.
Im still cheering on for my Blackcats with or without Setser

I believe on khsaa the Mckinney kid(#36) has 150 tackles for the season alone and Seth and Clay have 170 tackles combined. so to imply that losing Blake hurt our defense is a little crazy.

No one knows if Seth is going to play or not, his leg has improved greatly over the past 24 hours and it's looking probable.

I've heard from a reliable source that Seteser will not be playing tomorrow. This seriously breaks my heart. I hope he somehow has an extra speedy recovery by tomorrow, so he may possibly play.
It's going to be a tough game for the Blackcats now, but even without Setesr I think they will still be able get the W. They are just going to have to step it up another notch now! GO CATS!

This game is going to be a great game. I wish i could be at like 6 different places at once. If i could i would be Hazard vs Paintsville, Williamsburg vs LCA. P-burg vs Middlesboro, Covington Catholic and Johnson Central,Harlan vs Pikeville and Whitley County vs Pulaski County.
