Estill may win this by a touchdown. But one thing you gotta remeber experince overcomes a lot of things in playoff games. Somerset has been here before has Estill been in a playoff game with them being a favorite within the last ten years? These kids haven't felt this much pressure ever in their lives. The regular season is a whole lot different then the post season. It's just win or go ahead and pack it up. It's time for you to get ready for basketball season. With this said Estill may win a barn burner but i'm picking Somerset with the upset. I don't think Estill has seen a spread like this. Not many mountain teams run the spread like Somerset does with all the athletes around.

i dont think Somerset can handel the hits they will get from the Estill Co defence.plus the offence will run over there d and will wear them down in the 2nd 1/2 i dont think Somerset has seen a defence this strong this year.just my opion

I don't think the pressure will get to these guys. Estill has one of the biggest group of seniors it has had in a long time and every one of them have the talent and experience to go up against anyone in 3A football. I don't think Somerset's spread offense will give them too much of a problem. They're going to give up a big play here and there because of their weak secondary, but after about 3 quarters of pounding Somerset receives on both sides of the ball, i think they'll be ready to lay down.

Everybody hardly gives Estill credit.. and if they do its always "1 or 2 points" "1 or 2 td's" Estill rocks somerset. Estill is getting pumped up 4 state wait and see this will be the best they've played all year. They're ready to add a football state championship banner to our school. to go along with that recent baseball region banner.

Actually i was at the game too and Powell scored twice in the first half on your VARSITY squad. (Cade Berryman and Chris Hoover are not so great corners). They ran a kickoff back in the third quarter once again on your VARSITY squad. The fumble return at the end of the game was by one of Powells JV's players. Mike Whitaker has enough respect to not play his VARSITY squad when he is already down 58-21. I mean seriously. The JV played against Powells JV at the end of the game.

I give this Estill team credit. They are one heck of a football team but ADDING A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER is way out of content. Estill has no chance to even compete with Belfry or Central. I can see them beating the bobcats of Breathitt but thats were there journey ends.

In what context are you referring to when you say "freaks"? Also, I am a Engineer fan, and the majority of the post in this thread have said that Estill will win tonight, so to the person who keeps saying that Estill is not getting any respect, I do not know what else you are wanting!!!??? And to be quiet honest, more respect from the home folk is more important that what other people think. I just hope our community will get out tonight and support our team. It's going to be a rainy sloppy night for football, that's for sure!!!

Make no bones about it, this is probably the most talented football team to ever come out of Estill County since the 79-80 season (telling my age here) but I've known these guys ever since they started playing together and I honestly believe that these gentlemen will be able to handle the pressure of playoff time very well. These young men have great talent, and since they have played together for so long, are able to be the team that they are today!!!! Boys, go out there, play with a lot heart, dignity and that Estill Co Pride and you will be just fine!!!!
