I have never been there but i can just tell by looking its just one of those places you have to be there to experience it first hand.
#4
thanks for putting those pics up..

I've been to Cam Stadium 4 times and I've enjoyed it every time, mostly because of the fans & the atmosphere.
#6
I have been there and it certainly is a very nice facility to play and watch some good old mountain football.
#7
Kinda beats sitting on the side of the mountain, huh? I remember those days. Parking was horrible, the visitors stands couldn't hold very many people. Been there and the field is one of the best I have ever seen for a high school.

I've been many times, but moved to TN. I still love the Pirates. My ex-stepson plays on the 8th grade team. Remember the name Blake Newsome, he's going to be a good one.

I saw a nice stadium this weekend in Kingsport TN. Dobbens Bennitt High School.

How old is the CAM? Can't be too old. Looks good. Do they have concessions and restrooms on both ends? The brown buildings?
#11
I've been to the CAM 3 or 4 times as well and love going over there to watch some football. Although everytime I have been over there Belfry blows out whoever they play!
#12
Belfry has only lost twice here in 4 yrs.
#13
Oh yeah, most of them are blowouts.
#14
I want to play on it. Is it anything like Shelby Valley's?

CAM opened in the 2005 season. Belfry lost the opener to a very, very good Henry Clay team and since have only lost twice there, when Russell beat them in the 2006 Semi's and I believe in 2005 when Ironton defeated them

One of those brown buildings (closest to the school) is the Belfry lockerroom and weight room facilities..... the other building is exclusively a large concession stand and restrooms. on top, the bottom is the visitor's lockerroom.

Belfry was the first corproately sponsored stadium in the state of KY. The Belfry stadium is completely handicapped accessible. and it is also one of the very few stadiums you will find in KY that actually prohibits the use of umbrellas.

Nice to see my truck made the pic at Shelby Valley, Ha Ha. The ribs last week were the best. I love the tailgating, and the only thing better than the food is the people you get to hang out with.
