Belfry's Morgan Bentley recovered a fumble. Also Lee and Lovern had interceptions.

Game changed when Bulldogs QB Chandler Shepherd left game with around 3:00 to go in third. Dawgs scored on drive, but there play calling was limited.

Coach Haywood told media after the game that the team didn't come to play . He talked about them playing soft. He said that Lawrence exposed them tonight and that if the Shepherd kid didn't get hurt he doesn't think that they stop him. He gave credit to Lawrence County saying that they came out and played hard and that they had a good game plan
Haywood also said that the team did what they had to do to win in the second half and that this team at this point isn't as good like the community , sportswriters and radio broadcasters think they are. However he followed up by saying that he has a good nucleus to work with and that he expects the team to come around by mid October.

Lee has to get more carries. His yards per carry average is great. However, he has to hang on to the football.
