Its sad to see this series ending for at least a while. There have been some great players and great teams....I hope for the sake of eastern Kentucky football that LC gets back to the glory days of its program...I will take the Pirates this friday, 42-15.

Belfry either plays pretty well against the Dawgs or it's a close game(2005)...I expect the Pirates to do their thing, run the ball,and pass a few times. I also expect LC to play better than they did last year since this is the last game in this series. There has alway been a lot of pride in Louisa and i expect to see that tomorrow night. With that said i will take the Pirates. See my above post for the score.

To the best football fans in the world I need some updated pics for BelfryKy.com I've got to work tonight and won't be able to go to the game but I will be listening to the game online. Also, BelfryKY.com was created for the fans and I really need your help with keeping updated information on games, stats, and even when I make mistakes. You're right I don't understand how Belfry doesn't have a chance.
LC lost to North Laurel 18-8 last week, North Laurel is picked to finish last in their district.
Belfry returns most of their team from last season when they defeated LC 51-20, in a game where Belfry led 51-0 very early in the 3rd Quarter when they pulled their starters.
I don't think Belfry will dismantle LC like they did last season, but I also certainly don't see where Belfry doesn't have a chance in this one.

Belfry has LC's upmost respect. They have set the bar and are a great measuring stick for all programs in Eastern KY.
LC has 1-2 Sr's starting on offense and 2 SR's starting on defense. LC is probably one of the youngest teams in the state. I can't say enough about how hard the kids have worked and this team is going to get better and better every week! The kids attitudes have been great and they have worked their tails off. I don't know when that wall is going to come crashing down but I honestly feel like in my heart it's going to happen in the near future. Belfry is a huge favorite this week as they should be but I love the group of kids LC is going to battle with. The goal is to get better and better every week then creep up and win the District. LC has played well thus far they just have to take that next step and play every play with everything they have! I think the kids are starting to figure out that it only takes one player taking a play off to cost a ballgame. We have to protect the ball too. LC is growing into the offense and the potential to be explosive is there. The defense is flying around right now as well as it has in the past 7 years or so. I can promise you that the theme is to be physical or stay at the house!
I really hope our fans stick together because this team is going to grow and grow IMO. The program is heading in the right direction and the future is very bright at Lawrence Co! You have to crawl before you walk and this group of kids are really close to taking that first big step IMO. No matter what goes down Friday night the season is a marathon not a sprint. Pulling off the upset over Belfry would be the upset of the season but LC has won games as this big of an underdog before in the past. Those teams were filled with a bunch of kids+coaches that knew they had something special going on that others couldn't see from the outside.
To me LC and Belfry are a lot alike. Both have storied programs in small towns with passionate fans. Both are at their best when they are physical and play team ball! Belfry has the size, speed and experience hands down. This is a great measuring stick to see where we are with the youth we have this year. I expect our kids at LC to come out and play loose with a swagger the Dawgs haven't had in awhile! If we aren't giving everything we have every single play then I will be really upset! I hope this turns out to be a great game!

I agree with you EKU, the Pirates will win big, but it would be nice to have a competitive game for a while. I believe the Belfry starters need as much time on the field as possible cause we all know the home schedule is gonna allow for the subs to play a lot.
