Another one of these? You ask this question every week. But to answer it, I think they are right where they need to be in the rankings. I don't think they are a Top 10 team in 5A, but they aren't far from it. This team has had to rely on second half comebacks in several of their games to get the win. I know the loss to Hazard was the first game of the season, but a lot about a team can change over the course of the season, especially the mentality they come into the game with that they are going to win.

I do not think there is adequate data to make this determination. Whitley County is scheduled to participate in a sporting event with Woodford County in Williamsburg Friday night. Woodford appears to be a legitimate top 5 A squad. Two weeks ago, Letcher edged Whitley in a double overtime event.
The probability is high that an analysis of the Whitley/Woodford event will provide a beneficail data point in the Letcher analysis.
The results of the referenced analysis is anticipated to be available early next week.

Just some food for thought... Letcher Central's opponents this season have a combined record of 27-54 thus far, with 8 of those wins coming from Hazard. Probably the most impressive win for anyone within the district was Clay County's win over Lynn Camp, and Lynn Camp is a Class A team... It's entirely possible that Letcher Central is simply a decent sized guppie in a REALLY tiny puddle...

i think they are pretty good, not over rated. and not underatted. i kno hazard bein a 1A school beat them pretty bad. but i think LCC had 7 turnovers.... you cant beat anyone playin like that. but bottom line they still havent earned my full respect. if they win out and win their discrict i will think of them as a pretty solid team but until they make some noise in the post-season there still....like The King said " a decent sized guppie in a really tiny puddle"

theyve beaten everybody except Hazard on their schedule, and thats all you can ask of the players..I dont think they are either. I think they are right where they need to be, but theyve had a good season so far! Best of luck to LCC though..

Wouldn't winnig their District be considered making some noise in the playoffs?
