2008 Class 5A Predictions

Let's hear some predictions for KY Class 5A in 2008. From NKY, Highlands and CovCath will (of course) battle it out for supremacy in District 5, and whichever team advances will likely go far in the state playoffs.

How about eastern and western KY???

Letcher county central lost a lot to graduation but still looks strong in the east and clay can fall either way they also lost a lot from what i hear

Johnson Central will still be a strong contender again next season. Lost a few key players but they have some other talented athletes to come in and fill the holes left by the seniors.

Woodford Co. will come back strong, lost some key players in FS/WR Curt strange and WR S. Lewis, and the D line. But got a lot of young talent that played in many games last year that should be able to replace them. QB Duckworth going to be back and better then ever. 08 Going to be intresting.

Southwestern will turn it around this year and have a good season.

Highlands, CovCath, Bowling Green, LCC, Johnson Central will be the dominate forces next year in 5A. Maybe in a few years Ashland will be at top once again but that wont happen til about 1-2 years from now. I dont know what happend to Mercer County, they were supposted to be a beast last season after winning the 2006 2A state championship, maybe next season they can get on board. I think the championship game will be between Highlands and Bowling Green again.
