Belfry Basketball
#1
Belfry may be the most improved team in the region next season. Brent Perry has been a great hire so far. He’s involved in the community and in the offseason he’s made 3 big time additions to his coaching staff in Aaron Rigdon, Blaine Keathley, and Cameron Worrix. He’s also picked up what most would say was Pike Central’s 2nd best player last season too with Peyton Owens as well as Colton Young. With Hall leaving for Pikeville too as well as Stewart graduating and the coaching change at Phelps I think Belfry is the preseason favorite to win the district.

He dealt with a a lot this year. He had a coach quit and a starter transfer mid season. Other than the starting 5 he had no one who was ready to compete at the varsity level. Now if he goes 8-20 next year you can complain.

Wasn’t he on GRC staff before taking the job? If so looks like he picked up alittle from Cook.
