East and West Carter high schools are winding down their last few years of existence before consolidating into Carter County High School in 2028. They will be the largest enrollment of all 16th region schools and I think will immediately start making an impact in all sports. Their new mascot name will be Coyotes.

I think it will help in all sports but maybe football based on their number they may have to go to 5A if so it will be hard to compete at that level I'm afraid.
