Interesting stuff, I was always told that the more liberal states were taking more than their fair share.
I guess the people in these states(Mississippi, West Virginia, Kentucky and Alabama), which take in the most federal dollars compared to they is who Musk is calling the parasite class. The poor, the disabled, the elderly, the mentally ill are subhuman to him because they require government services to survive.
From 2018 to 2022, individuals and organizations from blue states contributed nearly 60% of all federal tax receipts but only received 53% of all federal contributions to states in the form of either direct payments, grants, contracts, or wages. Meanwhile, red states were only responsible for 40% of federal tax receipts but received 47% of all federal contributions to states. A 7% differential that in effect equates to a more than $1 trillion transfer payment from blue states to red states, amounting to $4,300 per capita, compared to the instance where their respective fair shares were paid.
Finally, blue states did receive more in COVID-19 relief funds, but red states have disproportionately benefited from Biden’s signature legislation—IRA, CHIPS, IIJA—by as much as fivefold.

Comparing state receipts from the federal government to the taxes paid by those states is a useless statistic. State with higher per capita incomes pay higher per capita taxes.

California is an extremely poorly governed state that has enacted environmental policies that have worsened natural disasters such as fires and mudslides. The federal government should attach some strings to disaster relief to ensure that mitigating future disasters will be much less expenses and to entice insurance companies to resume making coverage available in the mismanaged areas.
Your implication that Musk referred to "disabled, the elderly, the mentally ill" as "subhuman" is dishonest and disgusting. This is just another example of why people do not take your posts seriously.
Isn't "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" one of the far left-wing's mantras? You can't have it both ways. You can't advocate a tax policy that exempts over half the country's citizens from paying any federal income taxes and then complain that the have-nots are getting more of the benefits than the haves.

Prior to 2017 the General Assembly in Kentucky was controlled by Democrats for close to 100 years….Not exactly a red state other than voting for President

We need smarter liberals on here.

These libtards actually think Dems keep Republicans up and even dumber they are all for endless illegals and giving them free everything + debit cards. They are lost. They have no clue but need a huge dose of far-left propaganda every day just to be able to get through the day.

Musk said that people relying on government assistance were the parasite class. The ones I mentioned rely on government assistance, so it's not much of a stretch to say that he was including them in his assessment.
