Arizona 86 Iowa State 75 (OT)
#1
Arizona gets every call that they need, then a few more to take it to overtime. Still wouldn't have been possible without UNC transfer Caleb Love nailing a three-quarter court heave as time expired.

Take away any of the handful of calls that the Cyclones got stuck on and this is probably classified as an "ugly win".

'Zona moves back into the tournament conversation thanks to the Big XII officials.

Tried to stay up for the whole game but I went to bed at about the 8-minute mark, woke up this morning with an ESPN notification on my phone that Love had hit the half-court shot to send it to OT, sure was a back & forth game the whole way when I was watching. Still a good resume win for Arizona, they've really bounced back in a big way after the slow start to the season.

Did you see the tech that Iowa State got while shooting a three? Ref said the shooter flopped? Wasn't much there, IMO. One of many beneficial whistles Arizona received.

That I didn't see, but it's funny how much a bad call can turn the tide in a close game like that.

He was in a normal shooting motion. Defender kind of got in his landing area. He came down and fell, mostly to control his landing-- didn't kick his leg out or do anything egregious. Ended up stuck with a tech that really changed the momentum late in the first half. They made a three off the technical miss, ISU then turned it over and Arizona converted to take their first lead of the game with just over three minutes remaining. They stretched that first half lead out to as many as 7 before closing up 4.

Seeing the line close at Arizona -2.5 was a pretty good sign that they may be getting some calls. I've seen much worse, but this one was pretty bad.
