Final from Greenup County. Red Devils get a big district win.

Other than Ashland the region is really down. I don't even feel like A-Town is playing very good.

I would agree with you. The 16th Region looks to be very down in comparison to the past few years. I still think Ashland is the best team in the region but I don't think they are as good as they have been in the past.

APB- received 1 BC, 1 Morgan, 1 Russell, and 1 SP.
The Morgan, Russell would have been the programs best player at their school. BC kid would be starting as well due to the mass injuries BC has suffered with 3 starters being out as well. The region isn't really down per say. It is a school with a rich history in stealing your players and them kids leaving. You do not have the diversity in competition due to behavior.
Think about it. I steal a few of the team's best or better players then play those teams. It is a great plan to win. Not morally but I don't think they care about the second part of that.

I mean, sure, the region’s not "down"—it’s just that one school is running a recruitment operation, and the others are still trying to figure out if they can play five-on-five without asking for waivers.
Yes, The County's best player is Hicks.
A Town has long been recognized as the standard of excellence in high school sports, setting a benchmark for achievement, discipline, and community pride. Whether it’s on the basketball court, the football field, or in the classroom, A Town consistently produces athletes and individuals who excel at the highest levels. The commitment to hard work, development, and fostering a culture of success is evident in every aspect of the program. The legacy of excellence at A Town isn’t just about winning titles; it’s about creating well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in life beyond the game. As long as this dedication continues, A Town will remain a true model of success and an inspiration for other programs in the region. This HOOPFAN is the reason they come!!!!!!!

No, the audio and video of your Ashland coaches being CAUGHT recruiting. That is the reality. Ashland best player this season has been Caleb Clarke, if he was given the minutes Z would get. He would be avg more than Z. NIL deals are real at A-TOWN! we all have seen and heard it.

You must have BC confused with A-TOWN!! LOL HUGHES CAME FROM SOUTH POINT who is at A-TOWN, BC doesn't have a kid transfer from SOUTH POINT???
A-Town has 2 kids on the roster from A-Town. TRI CITY T-CATS is more like it. PERSPECTIVE

I think he is referring to Childers, who transferred from Huntington Prep, but is originally from South Point.

How did this thread turn into this mess? LOL!!!!
I simply said I agree the Region is down in compaison to the last few years. (And It Is!) Then the hatred of others highjack the thread.
Let's give Russell credit for winning their last three games. Are they a good program by any sense of the imaginatin .... No! But they are young grade-wise even though a number of these kids played varsity last year. Do they have problems just like a lot of other program? YES! (Inconsistency, poor shot selection, parent sitting on bench, lack of discipline, etc.) But that is the way alot of high school programs are run today.
There is enough negativity around high school sports so when a team wins a few games at least give them a little credit.

Russell is young and they are solid team. I think all programs have problems and I don't know any that don't. I watched the game vs GC and thought they played pretty well as a team. I do not think Burgess sitting on the bench is a problem. I actually think it is the opposite of that. His coaching background dwarfs majority of the coaches in the Region and especially assistants. He is a son of good high school coach who won, great high school/aau player, and went on to play at Marshall. Please tell me how you guys continue to BASH guys you have no clue about? Tons of high school coaches coach their son. I guess Travis Perry's dad played daddy ball? I think it would be a travesty to have that kind of knowledge accessible to you as a coach but then not use it?

If he transferred from Huntington Prep. He didn't come from South Point. Are you really that dim-whitted? Hughes at Ashland come from South Point! Just like the rest of the roster at A-town being from some other school.

You all just get mad because you have been exposed multiple times. So BC gets 1 transfer. Must been recruiting going on. ashland gets 4-5 and they woke up one day and said I’m just gonna transfer. You are dim-whitted as I thought. Haha that truth hurts. I will say this. You know Spurlock recorded it. I would love to see you call him that to his face. Please let me know if you have courage to do that and post here when and where because I want to see it. I’ll get the popcorn ready. Lol. Keyboard warrior!
Spurlock is all talk. He is looney.
Spurlock is so crazy he sued Ashland schools for the incident when he was kicked out of the gym in Morehead for trying to fight. (All caught on video)
He sued because he said he was denied due process because all he was doing was trying to make a complaint lol.
Definitely not what he was doing.
The federal court denied his case but he appealed it . But the fact that he filed a suit to try to get money speaks volumes of how crazy he is.
It’s all public record.
Type in JS Ashland ky . It pops right up.
Here is a link that outlines the case read it for yourself !
