The legendary Sports Broadcaster passed away last week after a long fight with cancer.
He was most remembered for his coverage of Selection Sunday, although he called many NFL, NBA, and MLB games during his career. He started out with ESPN, made his way to CBS, then to NBC. He made his way back to CBS whenever they regained rights to the NFL in the mid 90's.
One of the true greats in the sports broadcasting genre, there was nothing better than sitting down on Selection Sunday to watch him reveal the brackets for the NCAA Tournament.
RIP to one of the greats, Greg Gumbel.
