Congrats SV!

Sounds like a pretty good game just judging by the score.

Wow. They shot lights out from the 3 in the 1st Qtr.

Coach Taylor’s offseason workout program showed big time in this one. Starting 5 played 95% of the game. SV will take some losses this year but they are a matchup nightmare which means they will win some games they’re not supposed to. To me there’s a clear difference between 1 and 2 but SV is knocking on that top 5 spot. Gonna have to develop that rotation if they’re gonna get over the hump. Johnson Central is a good team. Very physical but really struggled in the half court with the good ball pressure by valley. Two hard nosed teams that will win a lot of games this season.

SV with a dang good win. Really impressive tonight

Shelby Valley with the upset tonight. No one plays harder than Coach Taylor’s teams. Hamilton is the real deal. Best PG in the region so far this season.

Shepherd and McKenzie were hot in the first half. McKenzie is going to be one of the best upcoming players in the region over the next few years. Time will only make him better.

Valley is top five team in the region. Great game. Two hard nose teams.

Coach Taylor and the Wildcats will be a hard out. They play especially hard and if they develop one or two more rotational players watch out. JCHS will be fine as they will improve over the course of the season.

Great win for Valley last night.

I didn't get to see a lot of this one, but it has definitely been a disappointing start to the season for JC. I think a lot of people (myself included) saw how they ended last year and assumed they would take that next step this year. But they are still very young. Their lineup is freshmen, sophomore, sophomore, senior, sophomore with 3 sophomores and a freshman playing off the bench.

I think they have a lot of talent, but the consistency is just not there yet. This year is going to be another learning experience and hopefully by the end of the year they are playing their best. My worry is that the noise and expectations in the off season got too big, and a young team isn't going to know how to cope with it. They have a chance to pick up a couple wins in a row against Greenup and Magoffin hopefully that will get them on the right track.
