Hazard 76 Ashland 69
#1
Big game from the Bulldogs.
Daulton Combs was 7/7 from the field and 6/6 from 3.
Not sure of the stats on Eversole but big numbers on the boards and in the scoring column from him as well.

Hazard came in and shot the lights out. Ashland couldn’t hit water from a boat. 2 take away from this game is combs is that guy and Zander carter can’t do it all on his own. Ashland needs a big man badly

I REALLY like Hazard's team. The bigs play physical and their guards can shoot it. Eversole is a man down low.

Ashland is really a different team without Davis and Jennings on the floor, so they need to get them back as soon as possible. Caleb Clarke played great for Ashland, he and Lalonde have improved tremendously.

Doesn't look like Ashland's gonna win state.

I believe the kittens are a little over hyped.

When Ashland gets their entire roster back they probably won’t lose games like this.
But I was really impressed with Hazard tonight. Beverly is a huge addition. They will breeze through the 14th this season and have a squad, that with the right draw, may win a game or two at Rupp.

^^^^ Hazard has a chance to win the All A

This was a big time win for Hazard. If they get production like this out of Combs to go along with Eversole and Caudill then it will be hard to beat them. Also thought Higgins played hard and more under control. Beverly is a huge addtion like said above. He gives them that other ball handler off the bench and allows Caudill to play away from the ball more. Johnson and kincaid also gives Hazard big minutes off the bench. Was still impressed with Ashland though. It took a big time performance to knock them off tonight.

Make no mistake. This was a huge win. Everyone said before this game it’ll be competitive but Ashland stretches it out and wins. Now they’re taking back water. Hazard led the whole game. Kept calm when Ashland crawled back in it and walked away with a big time team win.

Awesome performance by Combs and really the whole Hazard team. Congratulations

I was at the game last night. Everytime Ashland started to make a run the refs started to take over. A lot of Homecooking.

Great win for Hazard. On a side note, the “can Ashland win state” thread was embarrassing and made by a new member. Reminded me of some of the Corbin football threads.

Hazard is very impressing. Play real good team ball.

Said in the pregame thread, it’s a 20 pt swing in the 14th. Watched a stream where a 7-0 and 8-0 runs by Ashland was stalled by “questionable” fouls. Love to see Hazard play on a neutral floor. I don’t even have anything to do with either team but if you wanna get screwed, go to Hazard.

Al will not willingly come out to play a good team on a neutral floor. And theirs a reason for it lol

Don’t know if y’all watched the same game as I did.
Ashland didn’t look better than Hazard last night and nothing looked funny from the officiating.

Hazard was better than Ashland. Refs didn’t help us any.

Hell of a win for hazard regardless each way you look at it. I knew hazard could keep it close but didn’t see them winning this one.

Funny how a hazard fan and a 14th regioner will say that they didn’t get some cooking. When someone that has nothing to do with either team and who watched the game purely for the talent on the floor, was amazed by it. But it’s ok, leave the region and get blown away by any of the other 15. Oh wait no team will.

The only time Hazard plays a team with a pulse outside of the 14th is the tim short classic. Perry and Knott already showed when they leave they get beat pretty dang bad. Breathitt really doesn’t have anyone tough outside the region unless there’s a schedule in those classics.

lmao if you'd like to give me the time stamps of the fouls that "amazed" you I would love to take a second look.
Sometimes I don't see everything from my point of view, but would love to look at it.

I've got two eyes, two ears, and a working brain. Where I live doesn't impact how I see anything.

Hazard will be in the WYMT Classic next week and won't get a 14th crew for the duration of the event.
We can follow up after.

Hazard looked very impressive last night. If Combs shoots like that in the majority of their games they are going to be darn tough to beat for most teams. Because Caudill, Eversole, Beverly, and the rest of the team are solid too, and will get their’s. Also, big Higgins is a load to handle on the interior.
The Bulldogs sure had all cylinders clicking last night. I don’t see anyone beating them in the 14th. Breathitt is the only team with the remotest of chances.
