Is 6 classifications the correct amount for Kentucky?
Was it better when it was 4?
Is this something the KHSAA would consider changing?

Personally I thought 4 was good but 5 would be best. The current system isn’t going anywhere though because more classes means more money for the KHSAA.

4 with a champ and a runner up from each district. Thats enough

I dont mind the bigger classes.. I think its great we got some new guys winning in the post season, I dont think it would have happened under the old class... would have made for less good stuff IMO... However i do wish the would exclude the 4 seeds from the play offs...

When it was 4 classes, it took really special teams to consistently win championships - other than the biggest private schools in the largest class. It was almost too tough - especially with only 5 available weeks for playoffs. The teams that won were REALLY good football teams for the most part. And it was really something special to win a championship.
But 6 classes almost seems too watered down. It's too easy to make the playoffs and teams that are just pretty good can win championships. They frankly don't mean quite as much anymore.
Based on that, I think 5 classes is probably closer to just right than what we have now.

I believe the 6 class system would be better if the district champion and runner-up were the only teams that make the playoffs.

Let's just have 14 classes and see what happens.
In all seriousness, I think 4 was the best but like so many have said we won't get that back any time soon.
