Lawrence County 49 Shelby Valley 34
#1
Sv was down 28- 12 at halftime and adjusted really well.
Brought the score back to 35-34 and Lawrence finally buckled down and come out with the W

Closer than I thought but congratulations to LC for buckling up and getting the win
#3
Shelby Valley's tough schedule going to payoff in post season.
#4
Dawgs lead big early and SV fought hard and came back and cut the lead 35-34 then the Dawgs scored two big touchdowns, both of those by Kaden Johnson.

This is way closer than I expected. The valley team I watch at Letcher central last week looked awful. I thought SV would get beat by 50 this week.

That last td from Sv the Dawgs looked lost without a way of knowing how to tackle that play!! The qb ran right past probably 6 defenders that just stood around, about cost them the game!
Good coaching is what brought the Dawgs back to life with less that 5 minutes in the game!!! Congrats to my Dawgs! Well deserved win
LC line and lb's with the highlights on defense. With fetherolf shining all game long!!

Dawgs looked very good early on building a big lead 35-12. Shelby Valley showed a lot of heart and determination, they weren’t going without a fight and made some big plays along with some crucial turnovers which allowed them right back in the game. Lawrence County proved they can be a very good team, Johnson stepped up huge in the second half scoring 3 touchdowns. There was a lot of good things that happened on both sides for both teams and a lot to work on. For those who paid admission, they sure got their money worth. It was a clean game with great sportsmanship by both sides.

SV has a really good QB, who is very mobile. His mobility allowed SV to extend plays and convert 3rd/4th and long situations(ex. 4th and 29 conversion). Not having our stud LBs, Carlo Chicko and Cam Castle, had a big impact on our def's performance. Two athletes that are 6ft 200 ibs+ and are star WRs on off. Chicko is a terror on QBs and would've had a big impact last night.

To add to this, I thought LC's defense was really good on 1st and 2nd downs pretty much all night. It was just the 3rd/4th down and long situations that killed us.

Did Carlo Chicko play in this game? I don't think I heard his name, or maybe I just missed it

He did not play last night. I agree that the 1st and 2nd down defense was good and Johnson’s ability to stretch plays hurt the LC defense on 3rd and 4th downs.

No. He's out with an injury. HUGE loss - best player both sides of the ball. Hopefully, he'll be back soon. From what I heard, it's an injury that he may try to play through.

Sv recovered a couple onside kicks that. Was crucial for the team!!! Lc thought they had it in the bag late in the 3rd quarter and it just about bit them in the arse..
I just hope coach learned from this and won't let off the throttle when they are up 35-12 right after the halftime! Sv was shut down all night until a couple crucial onside kicks they recovered helped them come back a little!!
We opened our eyes whenever they scored 3 really dang quick and never looked back!
Like I said, they stood around for the last sv touchdown and just let then walk right in from about 25 out. They got some things to work on but I'd say they will go to perry hoping to change some things!!
