East Carter (18-1-2), always in the hunt in the NEKY region will make their first Semi-state appearance since 2011. They'll play the winner of the 12th Region, Southwestern or West Jessamine next week.
RPI is now a factor in soccer for hosting in the first two rounds. A Southwestern win means s road trip; a win by West Jess guarantees a home game in Grayson.
