Congratulations to the Commodores. I'm not too disappointed in the effort from the young Colonels and their coaching staff in this one.

How many years in a row can the Colonels be considered young? I mean I hear that same excuse every year in every sport.

Who made an excuse for anything? Try looking at their roster before you talk out your @$$. Any educated idiot can see that they have a young team. The coaches are not much older.

I’ve looked at their roster and I see they are young, but every year they are young. If you cannot retain the players you have year in and year out and have older players on your roster, that’s a coaching problem or an administrative problem. 5A school should have 70+ players a year with at least 15 seniors a year. Leadership starts from the top.
As far as an excuse, when you state they are young you are throwing out an excuse.

I think they have an arrangement were Corbin gets them after their junior year.

If you didn’t already know this, the county’s main problem has and always will be the administration. Certain families have controlled the school system for years they’re the teachers, bus drivers, janitors, and yes even unqualified football coaches. Hiring Irwin was a step in the right direction but he was always going back to SL and everyone knew that, that left plenty of time to have someone lined up to continue them in the right direction. I don’t know anything at all about the current coach and that’s the consensus. It gives the appearance that the administration got caught with their pants down yet again and the good ole boy system kicked into high gear. They needed another splash hire to keep the numbers up and they failed. That being said imo for the current staff to go head to head against Dixon their first year and have a chance at winning says something, they may have more in the tank than some realized. If they can win a couple they’re not supposed to kids will come back out but it’s gonna take some time. I’ve thought for years if they would make an investment in a fleet of vans to get some kids home after practice it would go a long ways, some just don’t have the means and getting home at 9 or 10 o’clock at night after a long practice would discourage most anyone from playing.

Like I said: You're talking out the wrong end.
