What do you think is the saddest song ever?
There was an article I was reading earlier that had listed several songs as the saddest ever written.
A few of mine:
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
He Stopped Loving Her Today - George Jones

I think The Dance by Garth Brooks is pretty sad. I'm a big NASCAR fan and the song was pretty well dedicated to those drivers who have lost their lives doing what they love best.

The Change - Garth Brooks
The one he wrote after the Oklahoma City bombing. The video still makes me cry. After 9-11 they played this song but with video footage of that day behind the music. Very sad.

I'll take "Johnson's Love" by Dwight Yoakam. In that song not even death ends the man's pain.

Little Bessie by Ricky Skaggs. Very sad but very uplifting at the same time.
Concrete Angel by Martina Mcbride- My mother was a victim of abuse so that one always gets me.
