Shelby Valley pulls out the win last night at Johnson. The schools split a pair of meetings this year, with each winning on the other's home court.

The regional tournament this year is going to be crazy. Between Valley, JC, Martin, Paintsville, and Pikeville, any of them could win it. They have all just been beating up on each other all season.

Unfortunately with the 57th Paintsville and Johnson Central play in the first round so one of the top teams will be at home next week.

Yup. It sure seems that once again, the 15th region champion will come from either the 57th or 59th district.

I checked and in the last 25 years, only twice did the champion not come from those 2 districts (2016 Lawrence Co, 2001 South Floyd).

57th - 12 titles (7 JC, 5 Paintsville)
59th - 11 titles (7 SV, 3 Pikeville, 1 ER)
